Dr. Felix GRASBON has extensive national and international experience gained from industry and private practice in preparation and prosecution of patent applications, opinion work and employee’s invention matters. His technical fields include various sub-fields of physics such as medical technology, laser technology, optics, semiconductor technology, nanostructures, computer-implemented inventions and mechanical engineering such as engine technology. From his time at the Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics in Munich, he has in particular experience in the fields of fs-laser systems, vacuum systems, and the interaction of few-cycle laser pulses with matter. Dr. Felix GRASBON enjoys working with clients ranging from large corporations to startups for building a strong patent portfolio.
After obtaining his Ph.D. in physics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics, Dr. Felix GRASBON worked in the in-house patent department of a large German electronics company for the business unit medical technology. After completing his qualification as a European patent attorney in 2006, he gained international experience as a technology specialist and since 2008 as a U.S. patent agent in the New York Office of a large US IP law firm. He joined our firm in 2009 and was registered as a German patent attorney in 2012. Dr. Felix GRASBON became partner of our firm in 2013.
Dr. Felix GRASBON is a member of the German Patent Attorney Chamber, epi, FICPI, and AIPLA.
